WHATS NEW:

Updated August 1, 2003

At the present time, I've just finished illustrating a new picture book for Kids Can Press called Mr. Saguette and his Baguette. I got the idea for this book some years ago when I was in France staying with a wonderful family to whom I've dedicated the book. Look for this book in the Spring of 2004.

Another Bear book is soon to be completed! It's called Moon For Sale. In this new Moonbear misadventure Bear thinks all his problems will be solved once he sells the moon and uses the money to buy a new canoe. But that's when his problems really begin! It should be out in the Fall of 2004.

I've also written another story for Kids Can, which Devin is illustrating called Mr. Molsen's Mouse. In this story, a cat named Mr. Molsen is given a promotion and decides to celebrate his good fortune by treating himself to lunch in a fine restaurant. He orders the specialty of the house--live mouse. Wait until you see this one. Devin has done a fabulous job. Look for this story in the fall of 2004.

Many thanks to those of you who sent in stories about class pets. The first three books in the Class Pets series are complete now and I'm finishing up the fourth book as I write this. Class Pets: The Ghost of PS 42, a chapter book for young readers is now available in paperback. If you have any interesting stories or anecdotes about your experiences with class pets, as always, I'd love to hear them. No one could think up such great stuff!

On the home front, I've renovated my horse barn into studio space upstairs, and a great performance space downstairs. I'm looking forward to doing children's theatre, puppet shows, creative dramatics and other projects with kids and families.

We're updating our web site, so stay tuned for some new fun stuff.
